How to cite streamlit in a research article

Hi,

I’m writing a scientific paper that includes streamlit as a webapp for my machine learning study.
I just want to ask if there is a prefered way that Streamlit creators want to be cited?

Thanks,
Best

you can capture and paste the streamlit web app page picture into your paper.
it will be very easy to be seen by your readers.

Hi @anhhaokudo -

In general no, there isn’t a specific way to cite Streamlit. Because Streamlit is both an open-source library AND a for-profit company, there isn’t a huge amount of value to us for academic citations in the same way as academics looking to get grants to further their open-source contributions.

So thanks for wanting to acknowledge us, and perhaps use the link that @fredzannarbor posted to make a general citation.

Best,
Randy

Thank you!!

JOSS https://joss.theoj.org would be a decent way of publishing an open-source software to be able to cite it in papers. But, for some reason, Streamlit is not there yet.
