I built a Streamlit app to present my mother Adrienne’s recipe book as a digital cookbook.
The project started from her old handwritten notebook that I first typed into Access, then Excel, and finally used as a base to learn Python and Streamlit and create a 3.0 version that anyone can access without installation.
The app lets you search recipes by name, category or ingredient, display the original handwritten page as an image, and print each recipe to PDF.
Not all recipes are entered yet, I’m still adding them little by little, but I wanted to share this version already and get some feedback.
This is a very personal project (a tribute to my mom and our family history), so I’d really appreciate any technical feedback or ideas to improve the app.
