Wanted to share an important legal update with you regarding the terms that govern your use of Streamlit services:
Effective November 17, 2025, some changes will be implemented for the Terms of Use and Privacy Notices that govern your use of the Streamlit website, Forum, and Community Cloud. Below is a summary of these changes from the team to hopefully make it easy to understand:
- We consolidated and replaced three different preexisting terms (Terms of Use for the Streamlit Website and Support Services, Forum Terms Service, and Terms of Use for the Streamlit Community Cloud) into one single Terms of Use for all those services. Now, you can look to just one set of terms to understand your rights and responsibilities.
- Note that the new Terms of Service require that users be 18 years or older to create an account and post on the Forum or the Community Cloud. Users under the age of 18 may not create an account for use in the Forum or Community Cloud.
- We revised and relocated the Community Guidelines to provide users more detail about the types of content we want to make sure stays off of Streamlit. We’ve also added more detail on our reporting, takedown, and appeals processes. It is your responsibility to ensure the content you post and your conduct abide by the Community Guidelines at all times and to help us keep Streamlit a respectful, collaborative space.
- We have removed the Streamlit Privacy Notice and replaced it with the Snowflake Privacy Notice because Snowflake owns and operates Streamlit. This change will help make sure that as technology and laws change, the privacy policies governing Streamlit stay current and consistent with the rest of Snowflake.
