I’m exploring Streamlit for a small internal tool that would help our team work with exported email data and generate simple reports from it. The main goal is to give a few team members an easier interface instead of asking them to work directly with different email files and folders.
One thing I’m still figuring out is how to handle different email formats cleanly. We sometimes receive PST, MBOX, or EML data from different sources, so I’m wondering whether it makes more sense to convert the files before sending the data into the Streamlit app or handle the processing within the application.
I’ve come across PCDOTS Software while looking at email conversion and migration tools. I’m considering whether using a dedicated conversion layer first would keep the Streamlit side simpler.
For anyone who has built internal Streamlit tools around imported or archived data, how are you handling the preprocessing and format differences?
