Hi everyone. Thank you Marisa for the invite!
Hi everyone! I’m have used streamlit for a few dashboards for personal projects, but have not been able to put to use in classroom.
Immediate use would be a intro to CS class, any data anslysis or ML class where we study python. But outside if a class, I think streamlit can work for a some student service?
Do you have good usecases to share? In class or as university service? Many thanks in advance.
Hi @epogrebnyak, not exactly university service, but my students in Machine Learning built an easy to use “Price housing calculator in Barcelona” , since most of them are international students, they are using it to plan in advance when they come here (plot-twist: i live in barcelona area
).
Here the data app: https://share.streamlit.io/ecktek/ml_epitech_project/app.py
Another interesting one is this “Drinkable tap water” data app:
https://share.streamlit.io/tim-snugget/ml_drinkable_water/main/app.py
Ofc, all these are pet / student projects, not exactly something you may want to scale, yet, it is a good beginning.
Great angle - they both ML projects and have some attachment to student life!
Hey @epogrebnyak!
Welcome to the education section of our forum!
We discussed some of the results from a poll we took in September (link below). It showed that profs were using Streamlit to have their students submit final projects or assignments, but also as a way to track their student’s grades too!
If anyone has an example app they want to link to show that would be great!
Happy Streamlit-ing!
Marisa

Hi Qiusheng, awesome to have you here, just now in another tab I have your webapp: https://streamlit.gishub.org/
specially like the timelapse for the “Ebro” river delta, next to where I am from, you are welcomed to visit in person and enjoy a good “paella”, it is very good there
Glad to hear that you like the web app. I would love to visit Europe when the pandemic is over
