Fin Stream is a simple financial themed demo application offering a live stock ticker with market price quote coverage for 190 securities and instant access to the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission’s most recent corporate filings for over 5000 companies and securities.
Gorgeous ticker.
Thank you! I appreciate the compliment.
The ticker looks fantastic! Could you please provide some instructions on how to build this animation?
This animated motion looks fantastic(The black bar with the stock price), and I’d like to give it a try.
Thank you!
How I can add this stock ticker to my app?
I’ve had to make some adjustments overtime, but as of right now, the prices will update every ten minutes when the market opens in approx. 3 hours.
It works! Is there any way to hide the ‘hosted with cloud’ icon and replace it with my own data in the flow?
I truly appreciate your assistance! Thank you once again!
Cool! Any hints for this feature? Which component should I develop with? I’ll try to figure it out.
It seems like taking another approach is the key to building this animated portion using Streamlit’s internal features, rather than the embedded way. LOL!
I believe I have the data prepared for display, but I’m searching for the right path to achieve this visual appearance, which I haven’t found within the Streamlit components. I think this should be included in the Streamlit family. Let’s make it happen!
Wow, that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thank you so much for sharing and your kindness. I’ll give it a try first.
I believe adding Marquee to the Streamlit family would be a great idea, and I will try to make a request.
I’m not familiar with CSS and JavaScript, but after chatting with GPT, I made this one, which is not bad, LOL. Marquee is pretty cool, and I hope a modern solution will emerge soon and be included in the Streamlit family!
Thank you @REPNOT for your patient answers and guidance!
Liked I mentioned before, pretty sure there’s a third party component that already exists for Marquee’s if you willing to download a component from unverified source.
Ah, I’m not too familiar with HTML and CSS, so I initially assumed that this feature was a standard part of the HTML ecosystem…
I understand that it’s a deprecated feature for some reason and will eventually be phased out. However, I’m hopeful that a modern solution with similar capabilities will be integrated into the streamlit family to fulfill such needs.
Cheers!
I have no doubt there’s a solution out there. Keep plugging away and I’m sure you’ll make it happen!
Best of luck to you!
streamlit antd components has an alert widget. I tried to style the text a bit.
I get some data from financial model prep. Basic subscription is free with a 250 api calls/day limit along with other limitations.
Think it would ruin their day if someone gave their buisness away for free?
I’m surprised they haven’t gotten into legal trouble. The data they’re selling is copyrighted.
