Select folder with st.file_uploader

How can I browse and select a folder, rather than a file, with st.file_uploader? The use case is to process a batch of data files contained in a folder (and subfolders). I only see an option to select multiple files, but not a folder.

I just started to play around with Streamlit, today; I am looking forward to answers to questions like this one. I fear that one needs to have a bit of a paradigm shift when going from working on standalone-client mode to web-based…things just do not work the same and, then, there is Streamlit way of doing things (session state and stuff).

I don’t think that’s possible out of the box. However, I was just browsing the forum and came across this and thought it might be helpful.
