Account blocked due to fair-use limit (403 error)

Hello Streamlit Support Team,

I am experiencing a persistent issue with my account access. My account has been blocked with the following error:

Error: Your account has exceeded the fair-use limits and was blocked by the system.
Code: 403

This issue has been ongoing for over a month and continues to occur consistently on my laptop, even after attempting basic troubleshooting steps.

What I have observed:

  • I am able to access Streamlit successfully from another device (iPad)

  • However, access from my laptop is always blocked

  • I have already tried clearing cache, using different browsers, and disabling extensions, but the issue persists

Based on this behavior, I suspect the issue may be related to an IP or device-level flag rather than actual usage patterns.

Could you please review my account or associated IP/device status and assist in restoring normal access?

Thank you for your time and support.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out and for the detailed troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried! The “Error: Your account has exceeded the fair-use limits and was blocked by the system. Code: 403” message means your Streamlit Community Cloud account was automatically blocked—this can happen due to exceeding resource limits or sometimes due to a false positive, and it may also be triggered by device/IP-specific flags.

To resolve this, you’ll need to open a support ticket and include your GitHub username. The Streamlit team will review your case and help unblock your account or clarify if there’s an IP/device-level block. You can find the step-by-step process in the official docs: How to submit a support case for Streamlit Community Cloud and Login attempt to Streamlit Community Cloud fails with error 403. This is a common issue, and support is usually quick to help! If you have a minimum reproducible example or more details, feel free to share them here so the community can also chime in.
