Lost access to app after moving the repository to an org

Hi!

I moved a repository from my private Github account to a new organization I am the owner of. I have granted this organization access to Streamlit. I can still see my app, and it is functional, but i no longer have access to it (can’t edit it). It says i have view-only permissions.

When i change the user from my account to the organization, it says I don’t have any apps. Can this please be fixed? It is important for me that the app remains on the same link as it was before.

Thank you kindly in advance!

Hi Tara! It’s a known issue in our system. If you change/delete/move the repository or you rename the user, you lose access to the application.

One solution would be for us to delete the application and then you redeploy it under the same domain. Is that fine?

Hello! Thank you for the reply!

I’ve managed to restore access to my app after forking the repo back to my private account, and then deleting the Streamlit app. Then, I deployed the app from the organization Streamlit account, under the same (now freed) domain.

I hope this helps anyone facing the same issue!

For posterity: I’ve recently added a page to the docs to help with this.
