Modify Session State Through Backend

I am trying to do updates to session state via some Flask backend API calls.

Is there session id I can access, or something similar, for this purpose?

That’s an interest thought, unfortunately there’s no feature to access the session ID, perhaps you may want to do a feature request by opening up a GitHub issue:

Alternatively, you could access the session state variables stored in st.session_state and modify them.

This is how you can create a session id.

import uuid

if "session_id" not in st.session_state:
    st.session_state["session_id"] = uuid.uuid4()
