The 2022 NBA season is approaching the midpoint with the All Star Game and I thought it would be great to showcase how simple it is to build an NBA data explorer with Streamlit using this app I’ve been working on.
The app is hosted on Streamlit Cloud and uses the web scraping technique to retrieve useful data from the Basketball Reference Website (Basketball Statistics and History | Basketball-Reference.com).
The app has a season summary section highlighting top scorers, shooters, playmakers, most impactful players as well as a Player Finder and a table explorer.
