My app was working perfect before. Now it would not deploy with this error. Please help me.
E: The repository ‘Index of /debian-security stretch/updates Release’ no longer has a Release file.

Hello , same problem here .
If you delete packages.txt app will deploy , but you will loose features installed via packages.txt.
Seems like problem is not on our side because so many users have accured thsi error since yesterday.

I can confirm removing the packages.txt fixes the issue. I had 2 apps, one with a packages.txt file and one without. The one with the file did not work, only worked after I removed the file. It’s a temporary fix. Thank you @sorujko

My app needs both python and R to run. The packages.txt contains necessary feature too. It does seem like it is on streamlit server’s end that caused the issue. Regardless, thank you for chiming in.
The underlying issue should be resolved for new apps. If you are experiencing this with an already existing app, you may need to delete and recreate it for the issue to be resolved.
