Incorrect App Analytics and Sharing Inability

Hello !

I have deployed my private app to Community Cloud and can confirm that the users that I invited has been using my app. However, I am unable to see these users in my app’s Analytics nor are they able to invite other users. Could someone please help me understand why this is the case ?

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the Streamlit community, and thanks for your question! :balloon: You’re not alone—many users have reported that invited users of private apps sometimes don’t appear in Analytics, and those users may also be unable to invite others. This is a known issue that has affected private apps, where analytics for invited viewers (emails and recent activity) may not update or display as expected, even though access and usage are working. This behavior has been discussed in several community threads, and there is currently no user-side fix; it appears to be a backend issue on Streamlit Community Cloud’s side. For public apps, analytics generally work as expected, but for private apps, viewer tracking can be inconsistent or broken at times. Invited viewers should, in theory, be able to invite others, but this functionality may also be impacted by the same issue.

For now, you can try rebooting your app and re-inviting users, but if the problem persists, it’s likely due to ongoing platform limitations. The Streamlit team is aware of this and has been investigating, but there is no confirmed workaround or timeline for a fix. You can follow updates or add your experience to existing discussions in the Streamlit forum and related topics. Community participation is encouraged, so feel free to share your minimum reproducible example or app details if you’d like more targeted troubleshooting!
