Issue in windows 11 graphics 0ptions

!n my April 30th post, I described a situation where my streamlit app running fine on windows 10 displayed some strange behavior on windows 11. It appeared to be running correctly though the widgets graphic elements were not visible. I tracked it down to a windows display setting that I had made. when I changed that option setting, I was able to again see the widget graphics. I closed the ticket, because I got it working. Since then, I have come to feel that I had found a critical compatibility issue with streamlit and windows11 display settings. I got no error messages and was lucky to figure out why I could not see widget graphics.

I haven’t seen any warnings or notices regarding this issue and have no reason to believe that anyone is even looking into it. I may have been able to work around this anomalous functionality, but if I really wanted to reselect that window’s display option, my widget graphics would once again disappear.

It’s either a bug that needs to be fixed, or a streamlit feature incompatibility that needs to be documented. I hope this post will stay open till there is a satisfactory resolution.

Please take a moment to search the forum and documentation before posting a new topic.
If you’re creating a debugging post, please include the following info:

  1. Are you running your app locally or is it deployed?
  2. If your app is deployed:
    a. Is it deployed on Community Cloud or another hosting platform?
    b. Share the link to the public deployed app.
  3. Share the link to your app’s public GitHub repository (including a requirements file).
  4. Share the full text of the error message (not a screenshot).
  5. Share the Streamlit and Python versions.

Have you created an issue in the Streamlit Github? I think that is a better to place to explain and get visibility of the issue you’ve found.
