I am thrilled to introduce a real-time, camera-based pothole detection system that I have developed. I kindly request your valuable feedback on my web application.
A distinguishing feature of this application is its ability to issue a warning when users attempt to capture irrelevant images. Many Streamlit detection apps suffer from the drawback of predicting irrelevant images, which is a significant flaw in the realm of object detection and image classification. To address this issue, I have created a web application that actively alerts users to irrelevant images, preventing them from being uploaded.
Moreover, I am reaching out to the Streamlit community to request support in promoting my web application. This tool will be incredibly valuable to individuals working on object detection, providing an effective solution to a common problem.
I just tried it and it looks pretty cool and works fine so far (I haven’t tried to break it yet).
One thing I’d like to suggest (I may be wrong) but since most streamlit users are first hand on PC, it would be wise to have the upload file page as the landing page.
I understand that the current layout may be more mobile-firendly or mobile-first targeted for end-users to just take a picture on-spot on the road but not everyone has constant/immediat access to internet on mobile to run the cloud app, so may end-up taking a picture then uploading it later (hence using the upload file page even from mobile device in this case)
I might use it later on in my town roads and see what gives on mobile device
Thank you for your prompt response. You have the option to select files directly from your mobile device as well. I have incorporated this functionality, allowing you to add files not only from your PC but also directly from your mobile device.
