Request: Update Streamlit Cloud profile username after GitHub rename

Hi Streamlit Team,

I recently changed my GitHub username, and while my apps are deploying correctly from my new repositories, my public profile url and the “Created by” badges on my apps are still showing my old username.

Could a staff member please manually update my username in the database? Here are my details:

Thank you for your help!

Hey there, welcome to the Streamlit community and thanks for sharing your details so clearly! :balloon: This is a common situation—when you change your GitHub username, Streamlit Community Cloud may not automatically update your profile URL or the “Created by” badges. Streamlit identifies apps and profiles by the original GitHub coordinates, so even after a successful username change, your public profile and app badges can still show the old username. Logging out/in or reconnecting GitHub usually won’t fix this; a manual update by Streamlit staff is required.

The best next step is to request a manual update from the Streamlit support team, as you’ve done here. They’ll need both your old and new GitHub usernames (which you’ve provided) and your email. For reference, this process and its limitations are documented in the official docs and discussed in the community forums. Community members, if you’ve experienced this and have tips or timelines to share, please jump in! And if you’re debugging related issues, always include a minimum reproducible example or screenshots to help others help you faster.
