I’m starting to build out a simple stats viewer for ultimate frisbee stats. To make things easy, I’m working with UFA stats until I’ve spent the time to transcribe rich enough datasets from other games.
I’m interested in investigating features that would be easily overlooked without these graphs in front of you but might offer a competitive advantage. For instance, in the below graph you can see that both teams follow similar patterns in how quickly they are scoring (when one team is scoring fast, the other team seems to as well and vice versa). This game is not alone in exhibiting this pattern. It would be exciting to be able to characterize the features of teams or games that cause this (if it’s not universal).
