I met a hydrologist working for a county agency recently and we spoke about his work related to measuring rates of flow of moving bodies of water like rivers and streams. It was really interesting and I wanted to continue to explore the topic more. I chatted at length with GPT-4 about the topic and the underlying data science principles and worked with it build up a basic Streamlit app, which I have refined quite a bit in appearance and functionality. Overall it was a fun learning experience and gave me a chance to play with some plotting and data modeling tools in Streamlit:
